The Saturdays are a five-piece girl group with members from the United Kingdom and Ireland. The band consists of 5 performers; Una Healy (born 10 October 1981), Mollie King (born 4 June 1987), Frankie Sandford (born 14 January 1989), Rochelle Wiseman (born 21 March 1989) and Vanessa White (born 30 October 1989). Frankie and Rochelle were previous members of the now parted group S Club Juniors / S Club 8 and Mollie auditioned on the hit UK TV programme The X Factor as part as the girl group Fallen Angelz.
During the summer of 2007 The Saturdays united – under the record company Fascination Records, a sub-division of Polydor Records and played as a supporting acting on Girls Aloud’s 2008 Tangled Up Tour. The girls released their debut single If This Is Love on 28 July 2008 which charted at #8 on the UK charts, and their second single Up was released on 12 October 2008, charting at #5. Their third single Issues was released in early 2009 and it peaked at #4.
Their debut album Chasing Lights was released on October 27th 2008, receiving critical acclaim. It has been revealed that they will star in Hollyoaks Later.
